Pneumatic actuated ball valves are used where quick remote quarter-turn operation is required. The complete package includes the ball valve, pneumatic actuator and, when specified, solenoid valve, air filter regulator, position feedback and control accessories.
Selection checklist
- Full-port or reduced-port ball valve requirement.
- Body and seat materials compatible with the medium and temperature.
- Threaded, flanged, welded or other connection standard.
- Double-acting or spring-return actuator, including required fail position.
- Instrument air supply, solenoid voltage, limit switch and positioner requirements.
Confirm the complete control package
Valve torque, differential pressure and operating frequency determine the actuator selection. Including your control voltage, available air pressure and feedback requirement in the RFQ prevents mismatched accessories.
